this post - post/28309288248 - isn't that Nicholas instead of George? It looks like Nicholas to me because of the eyes. But I don't know. Those cousins could pass as twins!
I think that it’s George, and every time either I (LTR) or Sarah (LSK) have seen the photo it’s been labelled as George. But I do agree it looks like Nicholas; the two of them looked like twins so that isn’t unusual.
This royal didn’t cheat on his wife. No one has ever suggested that. But he was very, very cozy with an A-list fashion designer. To the point that multiple people picked up on it.
The two first met before he was married when she was involved with an acquaintance of his. Whether or not anything happened at that point is debatable. But whenever the two would meet from that point on, things between them would get quite flirty. It got to the point that when the two of them were in the same room they would completely ignore everyone else, including their significant others, and the chemistry between them was obvious to all who witnessed it. It’s also been suggested the royal used his pull to get the designer out of a sticky legal situation, though that makes less sense when you realize her own connections may have been better.
Depending on who you believe, the wife was either moderately annoyed or teeth-clinchingly furious about the situation. Despite the fact that they moved in the same circles and had a lot of friends in common, the wife and the designer were not friends. It’s even believed the wife intentionally pledged her support for a rival designer just because of her anger at her husband’s presumed interest in this designer. The wife was definitely the jealous type, but given this designer’s prominance it would have been impossible for her to avoid her all together. Both parties did manage to be civil. To be clear, no one anywhere thinks there was any kind of affair. But, then again, entire historical love stories have been dreamed up on less, so perhaps we’ll have to wait and see. It would make a really good movie.
This one is less blind than others: all of the elements of the story have appeared in print. It just happens to be suprisingly obscure. I will confirm correct guesses.
I honestly think Prince Harry is in some sort of Depression. I mean, besides always being the third wheel everywhere he goes, he is surrounded my couples and has no one. Cressida herself confirmed that they are not dating, so like I said, Harry has no one. Especially in some of the pics from the Olympics he is always looking sad, and smiling in just some of them, not like he used to. I really hope he finds happiness, and finds it soon. =)=
I don’t think we can tell all that from photos, but I do see a hint of sadness in his eyes sometimes. He needs to find someone to love.
Do you know where Mike Tindall has been? I mean, yesterday was he and Zaras anniversary and he wasn't watching her, and he wasn't there today when her team won?
According to the BBC and several other sources he was there, but I didn’t see him either. I do know he’s been having to go back and forth a lot because a dear friend of his, Dirk Schrade, has also been competing. There are also quite a few other friends of his who are in events which must make it kind of tough. Perhaps he’s on the move a lot which is why we’re not seeing as much of him.
I don't know a lot about the situation, but I read a Diana bio that either said outright or strongly suggested that Charles was a huge trigger for Diana's bulimia, and I can't imagine that the Camilla business made that any better, and I just feel so much for Diana... But I want to read more and get more facts, I guess.
Charles was pretty much incapable of having any genuine empathy for anything Diana was going through. It always came back to him, and I’ve heard some sources saying he did make frequent comments to the affect that Diana was chubby. I mean, I don’t think he was intentionally triggering her or trying to be an asshole, he was just totally self-involved and had no clue how a decent man should act and made no efforts to find out.
Honestly, I think the marriage would have gone bad and stayed bad even without the Camilla factor, but they might have stayed married just as a front. Camilla acted without any regard for Diana or her children and their feelings. I’d imagine Charles was feeding her all kinds of nonsense about Diana being awful. Men who cheat always tell the other woman that their wife is just so awful and doesn’t treat them right.
I did a search of the things you've posted about Camilla to get an idea of how you feel about her. And I feel comfortable confiding in you that she is my least favorite part of the Olympics being in London.
I think she’s being good, but I know how even seeing her and Charles together can be frustrating knowing their history. I go back and forth on her. I feel like both parties still have no clue what they did wrong. Like, it was all The Firm’s fault and Diana was just so unstable. If you read accounts from their friends/fans it seems they’re convinced everything is always someone else’s fault. Even when Charles has made minor concessions (but never a public apology) it’s always with an attitude. Like, cheating is wrong but then look at all these horrible things other people have done to me!
I will give Camilla credit for doing engagements and trying to be a good royal, though she does still do stupid crap and I worry that she’s giving Kate the wrong idea about how a royal woman is supposed to act. Like their stupid joking around during the memorial event.
I print what the book says! :) If you can find the right date, I can certainly change it.
Oh I’m sure it did say that, I have had books misidentify every person in a photo and claim it was taken a year after they all died. But I know that it couldn’t have been taken in December of 1936 as they were in different countries and not allowed to see each other until Wallis’s divorce was final the next April. Now, it looks like it comes from that period so I would definitely say it was either the year before or the year after.
I think you're only the fourth person I've seen online from the Hampton Roads area! I love you blog too, it's one of my favorite Royal blogs.
757 represent! For such a large area there are very few of us on Tumblr. The nearest regulars I’ve found in the past were in Carolina and NoVa. I’m glad you like my blog! It is so refreshing to think that there are, in fact, people who like the same things as me in my (not so) little town. I do meet interesting fashion/artsy types through work but none of them like the royals. :)
Yes, absolutely. Though I don’t think he was “in love” with her if you get my meaning. I feel like you have to have both to have a really happy marriage, especially with two such volatile personalities.
