Royals with Tatoos.

Mostly the Princely Family of Monaco. But CP Fredrik of Denmark has two.

Royal Foibles, or a blog full of things I never knew!

I recently discovered a new blog on Wordpress, called Royal Foibles!

#1- Did you know Queen Mary committed suicide?

#2- Did you know the late Shah of Iran required hookers be brought to him at all hours no matter where he was even when he was about to die?

#3- Did you know Stefano Casiraghi cheated on Princess Caroline?

#4- Did you know that Edward VIII’s great love was not Wallis Simpson but Fruity Metcalfe?

#5- Did you know the Queen Mother thought George VI was “repulsive” and only married him because the royals made her?

#6-Did you know Princess Margaret was a lesbian?

#7-Did you know Prince Albert of Monaco likes to have threesomes with his male friends?

#8- Did you know Stefano Casiraghi was murdered by the mob?

#9- Did you know Stefano’s wife, Caroline, has been trying to steal the throne for decades?

#10-Did you know Prince Charles has been trying the same stunt for decades as well because he honestly thinks his mummy is going to abdicate and clear the way for him?

As you can see from these wonderful examples, this new edit-stealing blog is totally legit!

Royal Blind Item:
Last week I got to visit the Arrested Development banana stand in NYC! In honor of that and the return of the best comedy show of the 21st century, I am doing an Arrested Development related blind item.
A recurring plot on the show was the paternity of Buster Bluth. Buster’s biological father was not his presumed father George Sr., but rather his Uncle Oscar! His uncle was his father and his father was his uncle!
Guess which royal had the same situation? According to family gossip, this person’s father was not who their mother claimed but rather his brother, who she’d also had a relationship with.

What royal would you least like to piss off? Who do you think could do the most damage to you if you crossed them? My personal pick would be Sheikha Mozah but I'm interested to hear others.

Sheika Mozah is a good choice! She seems so tough. Also I would want her to like me so maybe she’d let me borrow her clothes!

Another good one is Queen Elizabeth, HM the HBIC herself. Look at Diana and Sarah and how they were treated once she turned against them! She looks like the sweet old granny, but she’s pretty hard on the inside, like her dear ol’ mummy.

“There have been times when Victoria’s official duties have separated us. Often taken her to faraway countries and continents. I will never forget some years ago when she left for one of her many trips, this time to China.

We were going to be apart for a whole month. The night before she left, she got home late after an official engagement, and she had many preparations to make before the long month of duties ahead. Instead of getting some valuable sleep, she stayed up the whole night writing.

In the morning after she had gone I found a box. And in that box I found 30 beautiful letters addressed to me. One for every day she would be away. This romantic gesture is typical of you Victoria. It says everything about the loving person you are.”

I remember when I watched this live:

Same! Best wedding ever! I wish there was an DVD as well. I have the one from the British Royal wedding and I would instantly buy a Swedish Royal wedding DVD as well.

I haven’t done a Chatzy in a while, but expect one tonight around 9pm EST!

It’s all going to be about Madeleine’s royal wedding and our plans to liveblog it!

.♕ Day 8 (Favourite formal photograph)

Equally and hauntingly beautiful, I've always loved those pictures of the two sets of sisters from the Hessian Grand Ducal and Russian Imperial Families. I don't know if this was planned, but I love how Alexandra and Anastasia rested their heads on her elder sister's shoulder.

People Will Say We’re In Love, from the musical Oklahoma!

“I also noticed that she began to play her gramophone more than usual, and that her favourite tune was People Will Say We’re In Love, from the musical Oklahoma! — which she’d seen with Philip.

After he started taking her out, Lilibet would often ask the band at the restaurants where they dined to play the number for her.”

The other Wales brooch, as requested by Sadie

According to the auction house Christie’s, the brooch dates back to 1935. Which makes say it was made under Prince Edward’s (later the Duke of Windsor) request to be a present for Wallis.

After the Duchess of Windsor’s passing and her jewels came up for auction, it was reported that Elizabeth Taylor outbid Prince Charles, Prince of Wales for the brooch. Later, after Elizabeth’s passing, her jewels went up for auction and the brooch reached over $ 1.3 Million USD.

Liz should have left this to the BRF so it could go ‘home’.

What do people think of this? I’m not sure I like it….seems a tad too big.

I used to think this brooch was really small. I agree; it’s too big.

I like it. Go big or go home. It’s a statement piece.

Dame Helen Mirren steps in to grant a dying boy’s wish to meet the Queen

Oliver Burton, ten, may have just weeks to live after being hit by cancer for a third time.

Visiting the Queen at Buckingham Palace topped his list of dream activities — but his family was told a meeting would not be possible.

So Dame Helen stepped in, bringing him in a limo to see her West End show The Audience — in which she plays the Queen — then taking him backstage to meet her corgis.

The actress, 67, even KNIGHTED the excited schoolboy “Sir Oliver” during his visit, telling The Sun: “It was a pleasure and a privilege to meet such a brave young man.

Ex-Coldstream Guard James, now a full-time carer for his son, said of the visit: “She stayed in character for the whole thing and had a butler. “She was really lovely.”

Oliver, from Leicester, was first diagnosed with leukaemia in 2006, aged three. He recovered but in 2010 the cancer returned — and once again he pulled through.
Then last Christmas he was diagnosed with cancer in his spine and bone marrow — and this time intensive treatment is not possible, so he returned home with his mum, dad, and brother Ethan, six.
The family have raised £10,000 for special trips for Oliver through the National Children’s Tumour Leukaemia Cancer Trust, which arranged the visit with Dame Helen. [x]
