This is really pretty :) Is it a painting or drawing I can’t really tell.

(Note: Please do not take this post in the wrong way. This is my personal opinion and I’m not telling anyone what they should do. This is just my opinion after observing tumblr for awhile)
I know a lot of tumblrs like to make fun of Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, but lately I feel it has really gotten way out of hand, especially many Camilla posts. I really was never going to write a post like this but I realized someone needs to because people don’t realize how their comments can be looked at.
I actually have decided to not reblog a few pictures, that I liked because of the caption. I don’t like deleting the original comments from the person who blogged the item, so I’ve decided to not reblog. To me that is disrespectful of the person who posted the image by deleting their original comments. On my tumblr I don’t want to have comments like that posted. I want, and try, to make my tumblr without any bias. (I think I’ve done a decent job so far with that)
In the internet world you can hide behind your computer and say what you want, but I feel people do need to remember Camilla cannot defend herself to what your saying. I’m not defending Camilla, I do acknowledge Camilla did do wrong in her younger days. I’m not judging her for that anymore because I’ve known people who’ve been in her position and sometimes people just mess up. But sometimes the comments have gone way overboard lately and people are holding on to a major grudge.
I’m not lecturing people on what they can or cannot say. Everyone has the right to have an opinion but sometimes there is a point where comments can be considered slander and bullying. It may be funny you think to make the comment, but sometimes it is important to remebmer you have no clue who may be reading what you wrote. These comments can be perceived in a completely different way then you intended.
You may not like Camilla, but sometimes just watch what you say because it can get to the point of being completely vile. I’m not a Camilla fan, but she has done some decent things in her life. She has chosen to not try and replace Diana and went by the title of the Duchess of Cornwall instead of the Princess of Wales. I also want to say Prince Harry and Prince William do not dislike her. Prince Harry announced this and I respect him for this. He stated “she’s not the wicked step-mother.”
My most important point is, you never know who may be reading what you wrote and there is no point in making fun of others online, it doesn’t make you look like a bigger person; especially when the other person can’t respond to your comments and you get majorly defensive about jokes on other royals. Just because you don’t like Camilla doesn’t mean you should make fun of her.
*just my personal opinion
I agree with you for the most part. Despite my supposed feminism I’ve been guilty of this. I have to keep reminding myself it was really all Charles’s fault and she was only an accessory to him in his sins. When it becomes Camilla against Diana you’re ignoring the person who was really responsible for all the pain. At the same time, I’m just completely disgusted by Camilla’s behavior and I feel like she should not have allowed herself to be put in that position or allowed Charles to put Diana in a worse position.
But, y’all know what? Camilla’s looks have nothing to do with any of this. We can insult the way she dresses, her awful hairstyle, but she didn’t get to chose how she looks. If we’re going to play that game we should go after Charles anyway; he’s always struck me as the vain half of their unholy union.
It’s one of those strange things. I have vigorously defended plenty of other controversial women, and I do consider myself a feminist, but I just can’t stomach Camilla. Honestly, I think if Diana had lived, I’m sure she’d have forgiven Camilla because she was just such an amazingly loving person. But when she died the wounds were still raw, so Diana never got closure. I think that makes it harder for her fans to get over it. If Diana were still alive, she’d probably be remarried by now and she and her husband would have been involved with all the royal wedding preparations with Charles and Camilla. We’d have seen them all having lunch together, and perhaps Diana and Camilla might have even taken Kate shopping as a show of unity. But as it is Diana will always be the wronged woman and Camilla will be one of the people who wronged her. It’s a rather simplistic view, but I think it will stay the prevalent one for the rest of Camilla’s lifetime.
I loved this part!
